Remember @isuckatschool43 @anthonyym If the image is smaller than the preimage, the scale factor is less than one. If the image is larger, then the scale factor is greater than one. That is to say, scale factor = linear size of image / size of corresponding measurement of preimage. Here B'C' (image)=9 BC (preimage) = 12 so the scale factor should be ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

just use the proportionalitie of coresponding sides so 12/9 = (3*4)/(3*3) = 4/3 hope do you understand it now right easy

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

Oh yes you're right we're comparing image to preimage.

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

so the answer is 4/3?

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

(sorry OpenStudy is lagging really hard right now)

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

No, you were right with 3/4

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

oh okay

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

thanks for the help everyone
