please help!

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

What must all congruent figures have in common that similar figures do not?

OpenStudy (eli-ite):

wait lemme check my notes

OpenStudy (eli-ite):

Two shapes are Similar when the only difference is size (and possibly the need to move, turn or flip one around).

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

|dw:1464381238830:dw| These two figures are similar. They have the same overall "shape" but are not the same size. Congruent figures look IDENTICAL in every way. One thing congruent figures have in common that similar figures don't is they have the same size or the same lengths.

OpenStudy (eli-ite):

yes theres an example

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok is this a good answer? Congruent figure must have congruent sides and angles. Similar figures must have congruent angles, but may or may not have congruent sides.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@jtvatsim

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

Yes, that sounds good to me. : )

OpenStudy (eli-ite):

very good
