jabez177 (jabez177):

Alisha uses wire to connect a battery, a lightbulb, and a switch, but the bulb does not light up even though the switch is in the closed position. Which might explain the problem? A. either the battery has too little power or the filament of the light has burned out B. either the wire is bent or the light is in the wrong position in the circuit C. either the wires are connected to the wrong battery terminals or the switch is defective D. either the battery has too much power or the filament of the light is not getting enough power

jabez177 (jabez177):

I think it's A. C would work but it said the switch was working. Or did I misread that? :/

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

this one is tough. honestly not sure but A seems reasonable.

jabez177 (jabez177):

True. :/ D could also work because if it has too much energy it could get overcharged. :/

jabez177 (jabez177):

@Photon336, may you have a look at this? :)

OpenStudy (photon336):

yeah this is really a tough one i'm going to go with A. @Kainui you have a moment?

jabez177 (jabez177):

fr lol

OpenStudy (kainui):

A. either the battery has too little power or the filament of the light has burned out Both seem reasonable. B. either the wire is bent or the light is in the wrong position in the circuit Bent wires don't affect it, so it can't be B C. either the wires are connected to the wrong battery terminals or the switch is defective It's a lightbulb not an LED so it doesn't matter what wires are which terminals, so it can't be C D. either the battery has too much power or the filament of the light is not getting enough power Battery has too much power? I don't think so, so not D either. Looks like each of these has two cases, and one of them is wrong and the other seems to work, which is uncomfortable cause they use "or" which makes it seem a bit ambiguous. I wouldn't over think this too much though, I'm more on the side of thinking this is just poor question design rather than really being genuinely tricky or something.

jabez177 (jabez177):

Okay. That's true. Sometimes we tend to overthink which is sometimes bad. :P
