OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

Which counterexample disproves the conjecture? If a perfect square is even, then its square root is composite. 4 9 36 64

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

A. 4

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

Howd you get it?

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Well for first 9 is odd so that's out. C and D's square roots (6 and 8) are composite, so that cuts them out aswell.

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

And 4's square root is NOT composite so A would be your answer.

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

wanna help me with more? ill put them in a different question

OpenStudy (chrishogan):

Sure thing, I'll see what I can do.
