The density of an object is calculated using the formula , where m is the object’s mass and V is its volume. Gold has a density of 19.3 g/cm3. What is the volume of an amount of gold that has a mass of 96.5 g?

OpenStudy (liv33):

Formula is: D = m/v

Mehek (mehek14):

Density is 19.3 Mass is 96.5 19.3 = 96.5/v

OpenStudy (liv33):

I don't understand

Mehek (mehek14):

I just plugged the number in The question says `Gold has a density of 19.3 g/cm3. ` So for D I put 19.3 ` mass of 96.5 g` so for m I put 96.5

OpenStudy (liv33):

Okay

Mehek (mehek14):

To find v, divide 96.5/19.3

OpenStudy (liv33):

Oooh

OpenStudy (liv33):

Which = 5

Mehek (mehek14):

Yep

OpenStudy (liv33):

Thanks for being so helpful with all of my questions :D
