Pablo rolled a standard die 60 times. He got a 1 twelve times. How does this result compare to the expected results?

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Well, you can't expect something to turn out the way you want it to when it's based off of chance. A standard die has 6 sides, right?

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

6 sides, yep

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Lol okay So, 1 out of 6 would be the probability. 1/6 of 60 is 10. So 10 rolls would have been expected to be the number 1. How does 10 compare to the 12 times it actually happened?

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

Idk im kinda confused :/

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

May I ask what's confusing you?

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

Well you asked how does the 10 compare to the 12 times it actually happened, how would i find that out?

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Lol that's just asking you, basically, to figure out if 12 is more than the expected amount, less, exactly the same.

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

Oh my bad lol, thanks :)

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

No problem xD
