OpenStudy (slenderman):

In your own words explain how 1 added to 1 can equal out to 3

OpenStudy (slenderman):

i know that its possible but not how to do it, if anybody does help, its for some major summer school credit

zepdrix (zepdrix):

It's certainly not possible. It's a false statement. But you're looking for some trick to make it seem like it's true I guess? :o I know I've seen some cool tricks before showing 1=0 and stuff like that. They always have an error in them though. Otherwise the universe would explode. :D

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

tell your teacher this is a horrible project and you will have no part in it.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

Math is not magic and once you show something is true it will never be untrue. Since you know that 2 things is not equal to 0 things you know this is not true. How ever, mathematics is also made by man and we can talk about it in many ways. Feel free to google modular arithmetic such as mod 3, in this 'world' 0=3 but the equals sign here does not mean what it normally means.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

or mod 2 and get 1=3

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

however* :)
