OpenStudy (anabelleb):

Do potatoes by themselves have protein?

OpenStudy (chrisbelow):

Of course, every living cell contains protein! However, the purpose of a potatoe is to store starch (a plant energy saving molecule), therefore the potatoe cells are mostly full of starch but the cells still need proteins to work! If you would compare the protein content of a potatoe with those of a piece of meat, you would see that potatoe's have a lot less protein!

alones (alones):

^^^ they should.
