Hi everyone. Is anybody willing to help me? I am a high school student, but it is making me miserable. Reason? Let me tell you, I don't have hobbies or interests. I only have passions. The things that I am not myself without, music, dance, and natural medicine. I want to learn them, they are so close to me that I can't be happy without them. But because of school, I have become so caught up that I was forced to give it up:'( :'( :'( I Love learning, but can't stand homework, due dates, and permanent grades that don't allow you to even make one mistake. The amount of homework, the fear of getting the wrong answer, the push to learn faster then your mind capacity, and most of all the isolation from my TRUE SELF is killing me!! I want to get school over with, so I can be happy again! If we could work together to finish my whole grade's worth of homework in a short time, I could get out of this mess! I will be free! So I ask all of you, my OS friends, if anybody is willing to help me, please message me! if not, than I thank you for looking at my post and my best wishes to you!
That's why I need your help. All I need are the answers to my homework questions, so I can get it done, and when I am over with school, than I can truly learn and pave the path to my life! I already have a plan for how I will learn all the subjects I need on my own pace, and a path so that I can acquire all I need to pursue my goals. All I need is to have school finished. I await a reply from all of you!

@quickstudent , I understand your struggle. It seems that now-a-days, in elementary to high school, we are only trained to be in school, and study for tests. The thing is that even though we are flooded with tests and due dates and pressure, we still have an opportunity to learn. I see you enjoy music, dance, and natural medicine. What you might not know is what you are learning now will help you with the future. I might not know a lot about natural medicine, but I do know that you some of the subjects you might be learning now will help you in the future. With natural medicine, you might need to take maths and sciences like algebra and chemistry even in college. You will need math so you can correctly calculate what goes in a capsule and how much will be too much. You need to know science so you can learn about chemicals and compounds. You need to learn English so when you develop a new medicine, you can express yourself and explain it as an educated person. You need history because you will be more educated on the history of natural medicine. You might even need a foreign language because you have the capability to develop a medicine needed in another country, and also the opportunity to speak their language. And of course there is also music and dance, which is a bit less complicated. But you still might need these skills. You can definitely use a foreign language and learn how to express yourself in a different language. You can use the math you learn for finances or any other calculations you might need to make in your life. English is always needed, as I said before, to speak as an educated person. And if you correctly manage your time, then you will be able to find time to participate in music and dance classes outside, or even inside of school (if possible). Also, giving answers is against the rules of OpenStudy. And even if you decide to continue with this outside of OpenStudy, it is cheating. I am positive that cheating is against the rules of your school. Someone giving you answers, that might not even be correct, just so you can finish high school, will not help. Because then, especially for natural medicine, you will need to go to college or at least expand your knowledge somehow with some kind of school. You will know nothing and you will feel the same way about college. Then, you will either have a choice to start learning, but in a more difficult and fast paced way, or you will end up expecting answers from someone else again. As a human being who doesn't like to see others suffer, I don't want this to happen to you. I just really want you to understand that even though school gets tedious, it will help you in the future. You just have to try. Any way you can. Let me tell you my story. Ninth grade was probably my best year academically. I have always been an AB student, but I was an A student this year, and it was actually because of OpenStudy. Like many people, math was a difficult along with other subjects. I found out with OpenStudy that helping people learn what I was learning, helped me remember and perfect my knowledge on that subject. If I was learning about polynomials, and I still needed practice, I would come here. Oh look! There's someone who needs help with polynomials. I would use the instructions from my lesson and teach them, and I found out that I was actually teaching myself. It was a great year. Once I got to tenth grade, I lacked time management skills. I got a C in a class for the first time in my life. I kind of had the same attitude as you. I reminded myself that I had a passion for writing and I only needed English. So I would just want the answers for everything. My math skills left me due to my lack of practice and motivation and my love for science also went away. Anyways, fast forward, I finished Algebra II with a B. Oh well, I did decent. I got into college, and I need to do two maths to graduate. I did College Algebra which is basically Algebra II. I know that if I would have focused more on what I was learning in high school, I would have gotten an A on it, but unfortunately, I got a B, which doesn't sound bad, but I know I am capable of more and I tried so so so hard to get a good grade. Not only was this due to my lack of motivation to learn in tenth grade, but also my lack of time management. Trust me, most of what you are learning now, you will need once you are older and pursuing the career of your dreams. I don't want to seem aggressive or mean, but right now, writing this post and trying to get answers for everything, you are wasting your time. I know it seems mean, but it's the truth because I was there too. You just need to understand that you do need all these classes and that you need to try your best with everything you do, even if you think you will never need it again. If you need help, go to your teacher first. See if they have tutoring. Manage your time with every class. And if you really, truly believe you need your classes at your pace so you can learn better, talk with your guidance counselor. So I really don't know what else to say. Just start trying to understand because you will need this information and knowledge. Talk to your teacher or guidance counselor. Manage your time. If you have any other questions or concerns, just let me know. I might be willing to try to help you see ways you can try to address the problem to your school, but I will not be willing to give you answers. Thank you, Darry
aww ahh that essay d0.0
Thank you @Nnesha ! Well said as well. :3
nah :D 4 lines are enough for today back to math section \o^_^o/
Thanks, @kewlgeek555 @Nnesha It does make me feel better that at least someone understands me. There's a lot of students out there who will just tell you that you are lazy and stupid, without even thinking about how you feel. Anyway, then I do know what the real problem is. I really love learning, and I like math, chemistry, all of that, the problem is that when I get stressed out because of homework and due dates, my mind gets so caught up in fear and anxiety that it becomes so hard for me to learn. I know that I can learn well, but fear is a problem for me. There's this website for learning math and other subjects called khanacademy.com, you can learn and practice all math there from kindergarden to calculas, and I LOVE IT!!! But when I go on my math homework, seeing the number of problems I have to solve, the grade that will go down if I get even one answer wrong, and the due date that is approaching soon makes me feel like just withdrawing to escape from it all. I am really good at writing, too. I'm actually an A student in all subjects. It's just the stress that's a problem for me. I wish I could learn at my own pace.
@quickstudent , That's great! And Khan Academy is a really great website. It's true that sometimes the number of questions one has can take away some motivation. Like I said before, try to speak with a teacher, guidance counselor, or even a parent to see if you can do extended pace. Sometimes it's also hard for you to deal with this alone. So try to see if someone from your family or one of your friends or teachers can help you with this. Try to use different strategies that can help you tame your anxiety and make you feel more motivated to do your work. I know I have FLVS and they do have extended pace for those who need it. See if you school has this. :)
Also try different studying strategies. For example, since math is harder, I tend to study math every day, but things that are easy for me, such as film class and English class, I do all the work for the week in one day.
Hello all c: Very inspirational essay over there, Darry. I'll back you up. I took College Algebra in 11th grade and it's basically like Algebra 2 which I had taken during the summer right before that class. I've always been good at math, and so I was lazy to do all the work for a simple subject that I already studied. So what did I do? I looked up calculators and inputted the numbers and got the final answer. I was supposed to learn some new things in College Algebra, but because of my lazy attitude, I barely learned them since the class was online. (It was in a compute lab.) (I did have to learn them for the final because that was on paper.) I aces that class, but I learned a lot less than I could have and without putting any work. Also, I notice that online schools are a pain. I've never been to one in my entire high school career, but I know people who have and I've seen their struggle. Go to your local public school, and it will be much easier. They won't make you do as much work. When you do an online course, they have to have all the lessons and you'll have to do each one. When you have it in person, the teacher usually limits it to only classwork and teaches as much as they can until the school year ends. (If you take an Honors or an AP class, it will get much more tougher. But even their honors classes should be easy if you get all A's. But then again, that's just my experience. If you want answers, we can't give it to you on OpenStudy. You could go somewhere else, but then you wouldn't learn as much and you'll have to spend more time later in your future to learn it. Right now, if you can learn a concept in 1 hour, it will take you 2 hours if you have to learn it 10 years from now. So don't take it lightly. Ummm, that's all I think. Darry has imparted some of his wisdom to us all c:
@quickstudent yeah..same :( last semester my math h.w was like 7 sections and 20 to 25 questions in each section and some question were divided into 5 parts good thing about math h.w that if you learn the pattern you can do rest of the questions easily :P so once i learned the pattern i used calculator for other same types of questionz but careful haan don't assume that you can do all of the questions by just solving one be honest with yourself
might not work for you i don't like to suggest this tbh :P i was taking 4 other classes so yeah
@TheSmartOne , Thank you. (^_^)

Nnesha, that reminds me of #SayNoToPerfumesOtherThanAttar xD
ye.. o^_^o
You had 25 questions per section???? Gosh, I have almost 100 questions per section!!!!!!
And half of them require me to do it in parts!!! Seriously, no kidding:(
by section i didn't mean chapter 5 chapters 10 sections each section = 25 questions each question divided into 5 parts... :D
Do you 10 sections per chapter? how many chapters per semester?
yes
