OpenStudy (brittneygarcia5):

how do I write a piecewise-defined function if the points of the graph are: (-4,6) (-2,4) (3,4) and (5,6)

OpenStudy (aakashtomar):

Oh, piece wise defined functions are really great things. Try plotting the points on coordinate axes. After that, you'll see that the function is a decreasing line from x = [-4,-2], a straight line parallel to x axis from x= [-2,3] ( the eqn of this line is y=4 ) and an increasing line from x = [3,5]. Try this and tell me if the problem still persists.

OpenStudy (brittneygarcia5):

Thanks, I had the class and my teacher explained it to me too 😊 @AakashTomar
