Hello Everybody! I urgently need help on this. Pleas help me! Medal and Fan for the first person to help... I need to know what is the line of best fit for the data: 66.7 ,64.9 69.2 ,70.1 74.4 ,70.6 68.7 ,68.8 66.1 ,64.1 64.2, 63.7 67.2 ,65.3 65.1, 63.3 66.2 ,64.5 66.4 ,65.7 66.8 ,65.1 If you can, please explain how I should find it. Also, please explain to me how I would sketch it on a scatter plot. Thank you and have a lovely day!
Have you tried plotting them using Excel?
yep thats the way to go
i usually prefer using formulas so the line of best fit can be derived using the following \[r = (n(\Sigma xy) - (\Sigma x)(\Sigma y))/\sqrt{(n \Sigma x^2 - (\Sigma x)^2) ((n \Sigma r^2) - (\Sigma y)^2 )}\] I would ecpect you to go with the option @welshfella and @pythagoras123 presented lol.
Hello @welshfella and @phytagoras123 I used desmos to plot the graph?? Is excel a better option?
No GeoGebra is the best option i can teach you a trick there that would allow you to get the line of best fit immidiatley
@Will.H Can you please?
Sure
As showing type the order Correlationcoefficent and you will have to list the coordinates you have and BOOM see the magic occur :) Hope that helps
Thank you very much!
You welcome :) tag me if you have further questions
