NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

A calorimeter is used in an experiment. The initial temperature of the system was found to be 32 degrees Celsius. The final temperature was found to be 15 degrees Celsius. Discuss the direction of thermal energy flow and the resulting change in enthalpy (if any).

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thermal energy is released/escaped from the system and the enthalpy decreased. Think with me, Nvidia

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

the temperature decreased meaning energy was absorbed. it went from 32 to 17 degrees

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

basically you could put it either way :D

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay....

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

by saying "absorbed" I mean absorbed outside of the system, so yes energy escaped and was absorbed OUSTIDE of the system. :P

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

LOL like I do nothing but :D sorry for te confusion though.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay..... @3mar

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thanks for the medal!
