Could someone tell me what type of triangle is pictured, and why?

OpenStudy (3mar):

As the angle A is right angle (90 degree), we call the triangle CAD is a right angle.

OpenStudy (blowery):

So, the simple answer is Right Triangle, the other information is not needed?

OpenStudy (3mar):

From the figure we can notice that the three lengths BC, BA, and BD are equal. So we can deduce that : triangles ABD and ABC are "equilateral triangle". At this point, are you with me? tell me if there is anything nit clear!

Thanks for the medal!

There is a few different types of triangles. Scalene, Acute, Obtuse, Equilateral, Isosceles, and Right triangle. A triangle is a \(\color{red}{\tt scalene}\) triangle when all sides and angles do not equal each other. This means that every side and angle are different measurements. A triangle is an \(\color{red}{\tt acute}\) triangle when all of the angles are less than 90\(^o\) An \(\color{red}{\tt obtuse}\) triangle is when on of the angles of the triangle are greater than 90\(^o\) A triangle will be \(\color{red}{\tt equilateral}\) when ALL angles and sides are the same measurements. This means that every angle will end up being 60\(^o\) An \(\color{red}{\tt isosceles}\) triangle is when two sides and angles of the triangle are equal Lastly, a \(\color{red}{\tt right}\) triangle is when a triangle has one angle equal to 90\(^o\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Are you able to upload the actual picture of the triangle?

OpenStudy (blowery):

I believe the answer sought needs to be expressed as "equilateral", "isosceles" "scalene", etc. I would imagine it could be "right" and "equilateral" or am I incorrect?
