its confusing
OpenStudy (rc3212):
lets say if you had a 5 Squared which would look like |dw:1475681914560:dw| it would be 5 times itself which would be 25
OpenStudy (linktra):
Well when you square something, you are multiplying it by itself. So for example, of you did 5 squared, it would show up as \[5^2\]
Then when you solve it you do 5 times 5 to equal 25.
OpenStudy (peachy1):
18 + 4 * 5 = 38
OpenStudy (linktra):
That is correct!

no 38
OpenStudy (linktra):
Ok, let me think really quick...
OpenStudy (peachy1):
ok
OpenStudy (linktra):
I see, its because its actually 18+4*3, not 18+4*5. I didn't notice that at first. So just complete 18+4*3 the say way you completed the 18+4*5.
OpenStudy (peachy1):
oh lol

Ok, well this one is pretty simple. First lets start with the 927 being divisible by 3 and 9.
OpenStudy (linktra):
This is saying that you can divide 927 by 3 and by 9 and you get a hole number.
OpenStudy (peachy1):
ok
OpenStudy (linktra):
So to find if this is true you will first add the 3 numbers in the original number together, so you would do 9+2+7. Go ahead and do that first, then I will go to the next step.
OpenStudy (peachy1):
18
