Divisibility pls help

OpenStudy (peachy1):

OpenStudy (linktra):

Do you know how to square things?

OpenStudy (peachy1):

1 is 81

OpenStudy (linktra):

Yes.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

no not rilly

OpenStudy (peachy1):

its confusing

OpenStudy (rc3212):

lets say if you had a 5 Squared which would look like |dw:1475681914560:dw| it would be 5 times itself which would be 25

OpenStudy (linktra):

Well when you square something, you are multiplying it by itself. So for example, of you did 5 squared, it would show up as \[5^2\] Then when you solve it you do 5 times 5 to equal 25.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

18 + 4 * 5 = 38

OpenStudy (linktra):

That is correct!

OpenStudy (peachy1):

oh that helps

OpenStudy (linktra):

Good job with multiplying the 4 and 5 first!

OpenStudy (peachy1):

thankyou

OpenStudy (linktra):

Your very welcome. :D

OpenStudy (peachy1):

thares only 30 on my question ...

OpenStudy (peachy1):

no 38

OpenStudy (linktra):

Ok, let me think really quick...

OpenStudy (peachy1):

ok

OpenStudy (linktra):

I see, its because its actually 18+4*3, not 18+4*5. I didn't notice that at first. So just complete 18+4*3 the say way you completed the 18+4*5.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

oh lol

OpenStudy (peachy1):

its 30

OpenStudy (linktra):

Yup! :D

OpenStudy (linktra):

Is there anything else I can help you with?

OpenStudy (peachy1):

yes

OpenStudy (linktra):

Ok, what would you like help with? \

OpenStudy (peachy1):

i have more questions shuld i put them in here or open a new question pod

OpenStudy (linktra):

You can put it here and I can help you work it out.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

ok

OpenStudy (peachy1):

OpenStudy (peachy1):

idk how to do this formula ither

OpenStudy (linktra):

Ok, well this one is pretty simple. First lets start with the 927 being divisible by 3 and 9.

OpenStudy (linktra):

This is saying that you can divide 927 by 3 and by 9 and you get a hole number.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

ok

OpenStudy (linktra):

So to find if this is true you will first add the 3 numbers in the original number together, so you would do 9+2+7. Go ahead and do that first, then I will go to the next step.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

18

OpenStudy (linktra):

Correct! Now you will divide 18 by 3.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

ok

OpenStudy (linktra):

Also divide 18 by 9.

OpenStudy (peachy1):

6

OpenStudy (linktra):

Correct! Now for 18 divided by 9.

OpenStudy (peachy1):
