OpenStudy (kaarrrlllaaaa):

Electrons are 1) able to move from one atom to another; the atom that loses an electron becomes positively charged and the atom that gains an electron becomes negatively charged. 2) charged particles that move freely between all atoms; when an atom looses an electron it becomes negatively charged. 3) negatively charged and can move between atoms; the atom that looses an electron becomes negatively charged and the atom that gains an electron becomes positively charged. 4) positively charged particles that when transferred between different atoms create ions that are positively charged.

OpenStudy (osprey):

electrons are negatively charged so that 4 is out.2 is out because when an atom loses an electron it becomes positively charged. 1 is possible 'cos it seems right.3 is also out the atom that looses and electron becomes POSITIVELY charged and is sometimes called a CATION. think of CAT ION. and atom with a negative charge sometimes is called an ANION, think of AN ION. I have very little idea why it's CAT and AN - could be Greek language bon chance et bon voyage. http://perendis.webs.com
