OpenStudy (amorfide):

independent, and dependent variable if you think of a straight line y=mx+c y will change, depending on the x value this means, y depends on x, therefore y is dependent on x, so y is the dependent variable x changes as it pleases, hence it is independent. therefore, from coordinates (x,y), let's say a coordinate, (3,4), the dependent is the y ordinate, y=4, so 4 represents the dependent variable y and the independent variable x, is represented by 3 hence in your case, you want all of the x ordinates (x,y), so you have, (-2,4), (3,-2) etc, can you do this now?
