Compare the process of graphing linear equations and inequalities with examples of your own.

Equations are pretty straightforward. You draw them as a line on the Cartesian plane by joining any two pts that lie on the line. Inequalities are typically regions of the Cartesian plane. Instead, you are interested in seeing what set of points fall above or below the line given to you. (or more technically what lines are above or below the given line). To do this you can 'test' the inequality by substituting in a pt not on the line. If the pt satisfies the inequality, it is part of that region.
