I just wanted to know why does transiton elements are used in reactions for better performance?
You mean like in terms of speed, for performance?
you'll have to be more specific with your question.
I like in N2 & H2 reaction (Fe) does an effect.How?
surface adsorption catalyst to aid in speeding up the reaction. Remember N2 is generally unreactive to start with. Allows N2 and H2 to 'stick' to the surface of the metal where they can interact easier. It is generally difficult to have air collisions compared to those with a surface. AS to why they use Fe in particular I'm not quite sure, I guess it is economical. Read the section on Catalyst: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haber_process actually the entire wiki is helpful.
