Idea: Separate section for Tutorials?

kittybasil:

It would make them easier for experienced users to link to in case newer members need help on a topic/function of this site. Plus, there could be "tooltips" or pop-up advice for new users, as they roam through the site ☺

kittybasil:

Additionally, the tutorials could be separated into their own sub-categories like Math is on OpenStudy (Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra...)

psirockin2:

But we have tutorials is the math section and latex section

likeabossssssss:

^^

Shadow:

This follows the concept that we would want to be able to find these tutorials easily. I do think a separate section would be appropriate, as tutorials get buried under math and other such questions in other sections.

kittybasil:

@psirockin2 And it would be easier to find the tutorials for those sections if they had their own forums. Just organize the math tutorials under a Mathematics subforum. LaTeX already has its own practice/tutorial forum, so I guess we can leave it alone.

kittybasil:

We could also make a YouTube channel with tutorials instead if that works...

I like this idea.

kittybasil:

Thanks @JustSaiyan ! :)

JustSaiyan:

Your welcome. Another great idea: "Enter" button optionally doubles as "Post" button.

sammixboo:

Hello! Currently, there is an account named @Tutorials that is transferring tutorials into different subjects. Sub-Groups are in the works, and there will definitely be a Tutorial Sub-Group in every subject. Everyone will have the ability to post in these sub-groups, but make sure to limit your posts to tutorials only

kittybasil:

Ok that works Thanks for notifying @sammixboo :-)
