OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

can some one check my answers for my second part of the test

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

@awesomedude2078

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

hey are you good at math?

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

can you tell me your grade

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

8th

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

yes

OpenStudy (hannansm):

where are your answers?

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

sweet its a 15 question test and ill put one up and go on from there there all answered i just need to make sure there all right i can not fail this test

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

In the figure shown, what is the measure of angle x? Triangle ABC has measure of angle BAC equal to 50 degrees, and the measure of angle ABC is equal to 65 degrees. The side BC of the triangle is extended till D. The angle ACD is labeled as x. 115 degrees 130 degrees 145 degrees 150 degrees

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

i think its A

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

a triangle has 180 degrees all together

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

heres the pic

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

find the inside angle and subtract it from 180

OpenStudy (hannansm):

and a straight line also has 180 degrees

OpenStudy (welshfella):

use the theorem : the measure of external angle of a triangle = the sum of the measure of the 2 opposite internal angles.

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

like take 50+65-180=

OpenStudy (welshfella):

|dw:1481132016647:dw|

OpenStudy (welshfella):

z = x + y

OpenStudy (mathmale):

50+65-180 would come out negative. I doubt that a negative angle would answer this question.

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

65 - 180 gives you the answer

OpenStudy (hannansm):

look at welshfella's illustration

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Not so. That would give us a - answer.

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

180 - 65, sorry

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

so im right its A

OpenStudy (hannansm):

yep

OpenStudy (openstudy_girl2):

yeah next Q
