HELP PLEASE!

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

How did abolitionists and women's rights campaigners cause similar changes to U.S. society in the 19th century? Question options: Both inspired oppressed groups to demand reforms but did little to influence political change. Both considered themselves religious activists but were not accepted by supporters of the Second Great Awakening. Both succeeded in passing antidiscrimination laws but could not convince leaders to enforce them. Both energized individuals to support political change but were unable to organize themselves into large groups.

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

It's not "Both succeeded in passing anti-discrimination laws but could not convince leaders to enforce them." I tried it and got it wrong.

OpenStudy (bigbosssaint21):

I believe it's D

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

why?

OpenStudy (bigbosssaint21):

abolisionists were fighting for the banning of alcohol, so they werent oppressed, so its not A, B may be true but I would imagine the Womans rights group would have a difficult time getting the traditional church to accept there cause, and you said C it wrong

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

abolitionists were fighting for anti-slavery reforms.

OpenStudy (bigbosssaint21):

Then it could be A or D
