Jacksepticeye:

A couple is accidentally exposed to a high dose of x-rays by a malfunctioning plasma TV preventing random assortment and crossing over from occurring when they form gametes. A) How would this affect their sex cells? B) What would be the result when the couple had children?

HuskyNation:

Welcome to QuestionCove A) The sex cells would be exposed to radiation and mutate. The genetic code in the sex cells would differ from the parent cells that they were made from. B) The children would have a mutated genetic code. If the mutation occurred in a trait manifesting gene, the mutation would obvious, i.e., the children would have traits not of the father and the grandmother and different from the other children.
