zepdrix (zepdrix):

Irrationals are NOT closed under multiplication. Example: \(\large\rm \sqrt2\cdot\sqrt2=2\) Ok great you have that option correct.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Integers are NOT closed under division. Example:\(\large\rm \quad\frac23\ne integer\)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm ya your choices so far look great :) Just that first one giving you trouble?

OpenStudy (jabez1777):

Yes, sir! :)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Remember that Real Numbers is the collection of all the weird numbers. It's every counting number, every irrational number, every fraction, all the weird stuff. So if you add any of these types of numbers together, you'll still end with something in one of those groups. Example: \(\large\rm \pi+2=(\pi+2)\) It's a weird number, it's definitely real though :d

OpenStudy (jabez1777):

So they are closed? :D

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yes.

OpenStudy (jabez1777):

Thanks! :)
