candygirl200:

Joe sold a total of 10 baked goods. Each cookie costs $1.25 and each brownie costs $2.50. Joe made $20 at the bake sale. How many cookies did Joe sell?

Allison:

Is this a real question?

AngeI:

So just multiple 2.50 and 1.25 by the needed numbers (what you multiple them by has to add up to 10)

AngeI:

in this case cookies which is $1.25 is multiplied by 4 which equals $5. So that means you have to multiply $2.50 by 6 which gets you $15

AngeI:

So 15+5=$20 so your answer is 4 cookies~
