ane:

Which kinds of organisms use photosynthesis? heterotrophs only autotrophs only autotrophs and heterotrophs organisms other than autotrophs and heterotrophs

ane:

@Shadow are you there?

Shadow:

@ane are you?

ane:

yes ._. :P

ane:

i think it's B but I'm not sure

Shadow:

Through a google search I was able to learn this: A heterotroph is an organism that ingests or absorbs organic carbon in order to be able to produce energy and synthesize compounds to maintain its life. An autotroph or producer, is an organism that produces complex organic compounds from simple substances present in its surroundings, generally using energy from light or inorganic chemical reactions. So with that said, what do you think the answer is?

ane:

so it is B...?

ane:

sorry for being so dumb :(

ane:

do simple or dumb questions make you mad?

Shadow:

You are not dumb :) Just do a simple process of going through what you know. Photosynthesis is basically an organism taking energy from the Sun (or light). Light is not organic. A heterotroph uses organic carbon. We do not even need to know what that is, and can eliminate that. Looking at the definition of an autotroph, it is very clear that it uses photosynthesis. So we know that it is not heterotroph, but for sure autotroph.

Thank you so much for taking your time and explaining it to me; I really appreciate it. Sorry if I am bothering you. It's just I have a lot of stuff going and it's so much to do in so little time.
