plz help
Rate of change formula: y2-y1/x2-x1. Plug in any 2 coordinates from the table into this formula to get the answer. The key is to stay consistent in this formula. Does this help?

ok so you remember when i told you to plug in the numbers from 2 ordered pairs into the equation? this is what we are doing. choose two ordered pairs from the table. For this we can use (1,2) and (3,5) x1=1 y1=2 x2=3 y2=5 plug these into the equation ramen has provided you
ohhh ok
Ok I will walk you through it. Take the coordinates (3,5) (1,2). The formula is y2-y1/x2-x1. For the y2-y1 part, take the y of the first coordinate which is 5 and subtract that from the y of the second coordinate which is 2. So far you have 5-2/x2-x1. Then for the Xs, take the first x and subtract that from the second X. Now you have (5-2)/(3-1). What is the answer to this?
1.5 ??
don't simplify it. what did you get before you changed it to 1.5?
3/2
yes. good job. does it make sense how you got to your answer?
yes thank you guy..
