simsharrison:

Am I right?

simsharrison:

simsharrison:

Pretty positive I am.

jimthompson5910:

What's the missing angle B? Hint: All three angles of a triangle always add to 180

simsharrison:

59

jimthompson5910:

yes Let's fill that in. Also, let's flip and rotate triangle DEF to get this |dw:1608071968967:dw|

jimthompson5910:

|dw:1608072120341:dw|

simsharrison:

F=89

jimthompson5910:

|dw:1608072156514:dw|

simsharrison:

yes

jimthompson5910:

how so?

simsharrison:

sorry I didn't look at everything no they are not,

jimthompson5910:

we have these match up |dw:1608072290594:dw| and this as well |dw:1608072313667:dw| but that's about it. Everything else doesn't match

jimthompson5910:

all it takes is one mismatch and the whole thing falls apart Congruent triangles must have every corresponding piece the same. Think of two houses. If they are identical houses then every part of them must be the same (eg: the front doors must be the same)

simsharrison:

Yes

simsharrison:

So we know it is either C or D

simsharrison:

but it can't be D because AB=DE, or is it talking about AC and DF as the corresponding angles

jimthompson5910:

C seems like the best answer, though I'd probably word it differently. I can see what your teacher is going for though.
