N Question: Heather and Joel are going on a camping trip and are trying to determine how much water to buy and bring with them. A. They decide to record how much water they drink in one day. What is the appropriate unit of measure to use? B. Say that they each drink eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day. If they are going to be gone for four days, how many gallons of water should they buy? C. They bought 4.5 gallons of water and left it on the picnic table while they went on a hike. The raccoons busted in and drank 7 quarts of water on the first day. How many full gallons do they need to replace if they want to have exactly enough for the next three days. Will they have any exda? If so, how much?

'A', 'B', and 'C' aren't answer options, the are questions you have to answer. A asks "What is the appropriate unit of measure to use?" They all have questions you have to answer and they are not answer choices. As you can see, there was no question asked in the first place. "Heather and Joel are going on a camping trip and are trying to determine how much water to buy and bring with them." is not a question. Also, each one of you guys gave a direct answer. on top of that, the answers were incorrect and you guys didn't read the question at all.
@Timmyspu.
part A) looking at the units they use in parts B/C/D, we're using ounces, gallons, quarts, etc. so we're in imperial units. I don't think there's just one possible answer for this, but typically people describe their water intake in fluid oz. or cups. part B) 2 people, 4 days, 8 oz per day ---> 2 * 4 * 8 total oz 1 gallon = 128 fluid oz so you can divide your result by 128 to get gallons part C) I'm going to separate the calculations into part a, b, and c they have 4.5 gallons of water they lose 7 quarts to the raccoons. 1 quart = (1/4) of a gallon, so 7 quarts = 7 * (1/4 gallon) subtract this 4.5 gallons to figure out how much is left at the start of day 2 (let this be "a") now, calculate how much water they need for the last three days. since you already calculated how much they need for 4 days, in part B, you can just calculate (3/4) * your solution from part B (let this be "b") from there, you can subtract "b" - "a" to get the amount they need to replace. let this new total be "c" the wording is unclear but I think they're only able to buy one gallon jugs at a time. so you would have to round up your "c" to the nearest whole # gallons. however much you rounded up by is how much "extra" you have leftover, if any. (ex: if you had to round up by 0.5 gallons that means you have 0.5 gallons extra)
