KrazyKat02:

A bird building a nest for its young is a reproductive strategy. Based on this example, what do you think the term “reproductive strategy” means?

MxxnLight:

Is there anything else to go with this?

KrazyKat02:

nevaehhh:

Do you know what reproduction is, first off ?

KrazyKat02:

Yeah.

nevaehhh:

Not in a detailed way, but a general idea. Okay, well since you know, what is reproduction ?

KrazyKat02:

When two things get together to create a third?

nevaehhh:

When you think of reproduction, you should think of babies, parents taking care of babies, babies being made, etc. ykyk. But, that's in the sexual way, which is what I think this is.

KrazyKat02:

OK

nevaehhh:

Well, in this example, the MOTHER bird is creating a home for the BABY bird, and why do you think the mother does this?

KrazyKat02:

To help protect the baby bird.

nevaehhh:

Yes, exactly. She wants to protect the baby bird, so the bird can survive, and therefore, live to reproduce. If birds didn't do this, then there would be very very little birds alive.

nevaehhh:

Ok, from this, what do you think the definition is ?

KrazyKat02:

Um, brain fart lol. I dont really know

nevaehhh:

Alright, read what I said.... There's a couple of points to reproductive strategies that I said. -Protect the baby bird -Keep it alive so it can reproduce -Keep the bird population stable I'm sure there is more, but from this, what is a general idea of reproduction strategies, key word, strategies.

KrazyKat02:

Oooh, okay. I literally feel retarded because i should know this stuff by now at 17 years old. Ugh.

nevaehhh:

Basically, it's the way animals raise their young, so the young can survive, and live to reproduce, therefore keeping the population stable.

KrazyKat02:

Ok.
