officialsavannah:

i need help with math.

officialsavannah:

AZ:

We have a right angle triangle, so we can use Pythagoras theorem \( a^2 + b^2 = c^2\)

officialsavannah:

yea but which numbers go where?

AZ:

So in a right angle triangle, we have two legs and the hypotenuse `a` and `b` are our legs, and `c` is the hypotenuse.

AZ:

So we're solving for the hypotenuse which is our 'x' in the question The other two numbers can go in place of 'a' and 'b'

officialsavannah:

so would it be written out like 8^2 + 6^2 = x^2 and then i would just solve it.??

AZ:

That's correct!!

officialsavannah:

ok, thank you
