In The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath, Esther, in many ways, cannot conform to society’s expectations for a young woman. How does she refuse to conform?
Hi, there and on behalf of everyone, welcome to question cove! I'm not exactly sure what you would like us to answer. I don't see the passage, but I will try to help best I can. Judging from what I'm seeing, the character named Esther is rather rebellious, right? The question is, how? So while reading back through the passage, look at things that the character may do that shows this. This could mean looking for small things such as a hand on a hip or a simple use of "no". Then, look for how this character is rebellious to this certain act and you have your answer! Sorry I couldn't help that much I didn't have much to go on.
