I need help with this question
Chargaff's rules states that % of Adenine = % of Thymine and % of Cytosine = % of Guanine
Now you can see in your tables that the adenine and thymine values are very close to each other (but not exact). And similarly for cytosine and guanine, they're very close to each other but not the exact same. That's only because what happens in DNA replication is occasionally there's a mismatch and the wrong base pairs (A, T, C, G) get paired together. Some mismatch is normal and there's other processes to correct any errors, but if things get too crazy then you can get all kinds of diseases/conditions
But anyway, what do you think the percentage of thymine, guanine, and cytosine should be?
Um..idk
the values of thymine should be the same as adenine and the percentage of guanine should be the same as cytosine
