Solve for x.
@shayy What is the equation?
What is the equation??
Its me btw. This my question
umm.... an angle that is less than a straight line (180) cant be 200 degrees...
So the answer will be 32
no it means your question makes literally no sense how can that angle be 200 degrees, does it mean the other way around those 2 rays? @jhonyy9
Did you see the picture
Yes, this makes no sense I major in math this makes no sense because it is not the correct angle an angle that is not straight can not be 200 making this question unanswerable.

That's what my teacher did .
Then I would recommend asking the source because if a yale grad that majored in math can not figure this out I doubt your teacher gave you the correct equation.

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jhonyy9 Created with Raphaëlthis maybe 200 degrees Reply Using Drawing \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) 180 +20
She won't teach us. It's online
Then I recommend getting the principal involved if your teacher is refusing to help you understand something just because you are virtual.
I put 4x+x+20=180 Idk
I'm guessing
x would equal 32
Yea.
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mzshay438 I put 4x+x+20=180 Idk \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) this make sense look please my posted image
But when I add 180+32 it equals to 212
@supie @darkknight do you understand it now ?
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jhonyy9 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mzshay438 I put 4x+x+20=180 Idk \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) this make sense look please my posted image \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) 5x = 160 x = 160/5 x = 32
That's what I did
@jhonyy9 That makes perfect sense but the thing is that the angle is not 200 degrees and the equation is saying it is. you are adding onto the equation and that is not what the equation was saying. I am a yale grad that majored in mathematics ( I don't say this to brag I say this to prove I know what I'm doing) and this equation makes absolutely no sense.
Exactly idk why my teacher put that there
Just put the equations you said the one where x equals 32 and if it wrong message me and let me know so I can dig more into it.
i think your teacher just wan testing you then you get the key why not can be solved
Ok

@darkknight thanks that you tagged me here - this is interesting problem
it clearly has the angle specified, and says 200 degrees, sorry dude ur problem is unanswerable
Aint it a exterior so it equal to something idk
u can interpret however you want jhonyy, but going off of the pic the problem is unasnwerable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Y'all want another problem
Exactly Jhonyy you need to stop changing the picture to make it answer something. You need to look at the picture this person sent. darknight and I are and that is why we know its unanswerable.
To see if this one make sense
Find the value of x.
ok this one is solvable 2x+40+y = 180 3x+y = 180 2 eqns, 2 variables. solve for x
2x+40+y = 180 3x+y = 180 2 variables 2 equations solve for x This one is actually solvable. I hope this helped If your teacher wants you to put these in SIF Then there are a few more steps needed to get it to that.
Ok
SIF (Slope Formula)
What's wrong with my brain ugh I'm stupid
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @darkknight ok this one is solvable 2x+40+y = 180 3x+y = 180 2 eqns, 2 variables. solve for x \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) this method is easier, well same thing as s/he said. Just solve for x u need to substitute
Why is there y in the equation
y is the other variable, the third angle that isnt given in the triangle
There is a Y because there is third angle. So Y is the substitute for that angle. So you can complete the equation.

Is it 70
x is equal to 60 if thats what you were asking.
Idk
45∘45^{\circ}45 ∘ B 50∘50^{\circ}50 ∘ C 70∘70^{\circ}70 ∘ D 40∘40^{\circ}40 ∘
45 50 70 40
Those are the answer choices
sooo, the angle that makes one angle of the triangle supplementary is equal to the other 2 angles of the triangle
so 200= 5x+x+20 6x=180 x=30
oopss
200 = 4x+x+20 5x = 180 x=36
i think
oh wait
i read the above post.... that's so right.... how can an angle that is less than a straight line by 200 degrees lollllllllll
