helppp
Have you learned of Chargaff's rule?
uh i am now lol if i did in middle school i prob forgot it already
Basically, the % of Cytosine = % of Guanine and % of Adenosine = % of Thymine
ohhhhh thanks
so the amount of cytosine is the same as the amount of guanine
aight thanks
and then to find out what adenine and thymine are you have to 100% - guanine - cytosine and then divide by 2
And it's a similar concept for the rest of the questions :) Let me know if you want me to check your answers!!
okay
tysm
You're most welcome!!
so would 25% cytosine be half for adenine and thymine?
can you re-word that haha there's 25% cytosine yes but you don't half that to find adenine and thymine
ok so if cytosine is 25%, how would i find adenine and thymine? I know that guanine is equal to cytosine so it would = 25%. so what is adenine and thymine? lmao
like I said \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @AZ and then to find out what adenine and thymine are you have to 100% - guanine - cytosine and then divide by 2 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\)
the total percentage adds up to 100% so if guanine and cytosine are both 25% 100% - 25% - 25% what are we left with? then divide that by 2 because we have adenine and thymine
ooOHhhHHhhHHhh
adenine= 25% thymine=25%
?
Spot on!!
yay
okay one more question- If cytosine is 7 then would that make g 93 or 43 or sum?
remember cytosine = guanine
ooh im so stupid lol
so if there's 7% of cytosine, then there's ____ % of guanine
it takes practice, don't worry about it!
lol okay i got it now. TYSM <3
You're most welcome!!
