This list gives the lengths of different leaves in centimeters. 7.5, 9.5, 9.0, 8.0, 7.5, 8.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0 Create a line plot to display the data.

AZ:

Can you first draw a number line? This is an example of a line plot:

dizzymustang156:

yes I can

AZ:

|dw:1615586336330:dw| something like this

dizzymustang156:

yes I can

AZ:

the different numbers you have are 7.5 8.0 8.5 9.0 9.5

AZ:

you might want to re-draw the line yourself I kind of drew it up high so there might not be enough space to draw the `x` on top of the line for each number

dizzymustang156:

it ok I already did on a peice of paper

AZ:

That's good to hear :)

dizzymustang156:

will you still help me?

AZ:

sure, same question or a different one?

dizzymustang156:

same

AZ:

sure, what are you stuck on?

dizzymustang156:

the number line question

dizzymustang156:

This list gives the lengths of different leaves in centimeters. 7.5, 9.5, 9.0, 8.0, 7.5, 8.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0 Create a line plot to display the data.

dizzymustang156:

this one

AZ:

yes, so we have |dw:1615587072014:dw|

AZ:

Do you agree with that so far? Does that make sense?

dizzymustang156:

its suppose to look like this

dizzymustang156:

|dw:1615587400133:dw|like this

AZ:

where are the numbers at the bottom? you also have 18 numbers in the list so that means you need to have 18 x's on the graph

AZ:

First let's take a look at your list 7.5, 9.5, 9.0, 8.0, 7.5, 8.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.5, 8.0, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0 How many 7.0 do you count? How many 7.5 do you count? How many 8.0 do you count? How many 8.5 do you count? How many 9.0 do you count?

dizzymustang156:

7.0=0 7.5=3 8.0=2 8.5=3 9.0=5 9.5=4

AZ:

oo almost but count the 8.0 again there should be 3 of them, right?

dizzymustang156:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @dizzymustang156 7.0=0 7.5=3 8.0=3 8.5=3 9.0=5 9.5=4 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\)

AZ:

Good! So now you know that line graph I drew? you just need to put that many x on top so I'll do it for 7.5 there were THREE 7.5 so that means three x on top just like |dw:1615588217444:dw|

dizzymustang156:

k

AZ:

so can you put 3 x on top of 8 and 3 for 8.5 and 5 for 9 and 4 for 9.5?

dizzymustang156:

yes

dizzymustang156:

I think I got the rest

dizzymustang156:

thanks

AZ:

Wonderful! Great job :))

dizzymustang156:

I got a 100%

dizzymustang156:

and its all bc of our teamwork and skills
