The set shows the absolute values of a set of rational numbers in increasing order. {0.4, 1, 2 1/2 , 4, 5.3, 7, 9.8} Can you determine the order of the rational numbers themselves? Explain why.

dizzymustang100:

A) Yes, it is possible to determine the order of the rational numbers because we know the size of the rational numbers

dizzymustang100:

B) No, it is not possible to determine the order of the rational numbers because we only know the signs of rational numbers

dizzymustang100:

C) No, its not possible to determine the order of rational numbers bc we do not know the signs of the rational numbers

dizzymustang100:

D) yes, it is possible to determine the order of the rational numbers bc we know that all the rational numbers are posotive.

dizzymustang100:

i will give medal to first helper

JoyD:

hope it helped

dizzymustang100:

explanation? you will get a warning if you don't explain

dizzymustang100:

but ok thx!

JoyD:

Actually the Answer is C and the other 3 did make sense, but the one you choose was just talking about positives, and the others were talking about not having signs like Negatives or Positives. I used your answer and i got it wrong. Just because something does not make sense does not mean its incorrect. The Answer is C ppl. Hope it Helps :
