Assume that fur color in mice is controlled by a single allele combination and shows a complete dominance pattern of inheritance. The dominant allele (B) codes for black fur and the recessive allele (b) codes for brown fur. Two heterozygous mice (Bb) are crossed. What percent of their offspring will have black fur?
Set up your punnette Square
alright
@boredfr
60%?
How did you set up your punnette square?
using four suares
Do you have a picture of your punnet square?
im not sure ho to solve using the punnette suare
|dw:1618932639848:dw| How to solve a punnet square link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agQpPPQ5IVQ I hope that helps! ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕕
but ho do i find the percent
Ok so each square is 25%
So how many squares have (B)?
3
Ok now multiply 25 by 3
75
The answer is 75%
So, based on the punnet square, |dw:1618932837523:dw| BB, Bb- Will have black fur bb- Will have brown fur Now by using each of those squares, You will find that, 75% of them will be black; as it is a 3:4 Ratio & 25% of them will be brown; as it is a 1:4 Ratio.
thanks
