How do I do two-step equations? I forgot again...
This might be able to help, if not feel free to contact me. https://www.chilimath.com/lessons/intermediate-algebra/solving-two-step-equations/
do you have an equation that you could post?
10x +5=7
first you want to get the variable on a side by itself, do you know how to do that?
nope.
since the the variable isnt alone you have "10x+5"=7 since 5 is being added, in order to remove it you will have to subtract 5 by both sides, and you will be left with 10x= -2 do you know what to do from here?
yes, i think maybe im not sure i think multiply?
-20
the opposite actually, you would divide both sides by 10x, which leave just the x on the left, and what number are you left with after, -2 divided by 10?
-5?
no, that is 10 divided by -2, you are doing -2 divided by 10
\[-2\div10\]
Oh sorry.
no worries
-0.2
yes, good job. do you understand any better?
Yes, thank you alot.
no problem, anytime
mb, must have looked over that, i was doin 2 at the time, my apologies
the other had a "-2" and i must have got them crossed
?-?
