Define infrastructure. Infrastructure is the basic structure of an organization or system. Explain the degree to which infrastructure has impacted urban development. Infrastructure impacts urban developments because it greatly affects economic growth and the reduction of poverty. Define suburbanization. Suburbanization is a population of people move from central urban areas into suburbs Compare how suburbanization has impacted the cultural and physical landscapes. Suburbanization impacts the physical landscape because the building of these large neighborhoods cut down forests to clear up space for it. While it would impact cultural landscape because it would drive away the wildlife with the large amount of people living nearby. Explain how migration patterns differ in developing and developed countries. Migration differs from developed countries to undeveloped countries because in developed countries people wouldn't have much inclination to move, if the place they already live a great healthcare, schooling, neighborhoods etc. Then there would be little reason to move. In undeveloped countries people could possibly be too poor to move, but it would happen more often. They are pulled in by the countries pull factors. Compare urban and suburban enclaves. In an urban enclave it looks more like a very populated mini city, for example Chinatown in New York City. It is typically a larger community. But when there's an enclave in a suburban area they are less densely populated as its farther away from CBD, or in other words away from the city center. Everyone in the community would be closer together since its smaller. Describe a legal barrier that has led to ghettoization. A legal barrier that has led to ghettoization was the impediment blacks didn't have the same education as whites, this resulted in higher income jobs for whites while blacks had to live in worse neighborhoods because of their low paying jobs. This caused ghettoization. Define sustainable energy. Sustainable energy is a form of energy that meets all the needs of today's technology and isn't harmful to the environment. It doesn't deplete or expire either. Identify the type of energy displayed in the image. The type of energy in the image is sustainable energy, or more specifically, solar energy. Referencing Part B, explain the impact of this form of sustainable energy on land usage patterns. Solar energy impacts land usage patterns because it doesn't have to take up a lot of
land, so you could place solar panels on the tops of houses and the roofs of office buildings. But for large places, such as Disney, they use many solar panels all in one place. So they use up a large piece of land to place them, but this depends on the place. And usually solar panels conserve a lot of land for other uses. Describe how the Green Movement has impacted sustainable energy efforts. The green movement works to improve the economy using ways that don't damage nature, this includes using sustainable energy only. Explain how sustainable energy efforts impact modern urban planning. Sustainable energy impacts modern urban planning because using sustainable energy would mean they would build solar panels on top of roofs, make windmills on large pieces of land connecting to the urban houses' electricity, and could use a nearby stream for power as well. Describe a government initiative to promote sustainable energy. Governments could promote sustainable energy by making laws like you must use at least one sustainable energy source for your household electricity. Or start recommending people to make companies for these kinda of energy Compare the impact of sustainable energy sources with traditional energy sources. When using sustainable energy sources it only uses renewable resources, such as the sun, wind, water etc. They cause no damage to the environment, but unfortunately it doesn't provide sufficient energy for it to be the only energy source used. In traditional energy sources such as nuclear power plants, coal, oil, etc. These cause radiation and pollution in the air, causing the effect called greenhouse gases. This is heating up the atmosphere making global warming start, but it provides enough energy for people.
