It's saying the primary reason for this courtcase is so "Congress does not have the power to pass laws that override the Constitution, such as by expanding the scope of the Supreme Court’s original jurisdiction."

Well, the main significance of the Marbury vs Madison case was first brought to order due to the amount of power Congress had. The main reasn why it was taken to court was to help settle the disbute and to help distribute the power of Congress.
