A line of symmetry is a line that cuts a shape in half, 3rds, 4ths, etc.
In this case, it is half.
For example, if you had a square, you would cut it in half by doing so:
|dw:1622477186647:dw|

Wait...
|dw:1622477275632:dw|wdym by cutting in 3rds, or4ths ...?

On your first question/letter/whatever it can be called
you have to cut it in half, to where when you draw a line, it has the same shape in each side when doing so:
(I'm sure you can draw a better line -.-)
So Kathy has the right idea but as a general rule a line of symmetry drawn anywhere will divide the shape into identical halves. So |dw:1622477507330:dw|the line is a line of symmetry, bc it divides the shape in half, but |dw:1622477540207:dw|is not a line of symmetry even if the area is the same on both sides
