A person’s character is defined by what they _________, not by what they __________. A. say . . . do B. believe . . . say or do C. do . . . say D. believe . . . do Please select the best answer from the choices provided A

SmokeyBrown:

It's a bit of a philosophical question, but we can reason through it. A person's "character" is what makes up who they are, the most true representation of who someone is. People can say anything they want, but that doesn't make it true. So, I don't think a person's character can be determined by what they say. We can eliminate answer choice A, then. Going from there, what do you think is more important in determining a person's character: what they believe or what they do?
