ILOVESPAGHETTI:

So, a easy way to solve this problem is to turn the fractions into decimals. To do this, you have to divide the numerator by the denominator. Then use PEMDAS to know which order to do this problem in.

Astrid1:

Calculate with parenthesis: (-2/5-(-1/5)): -1/5 =3/4 divided (-1/5) x (-1/3) Multiply and divide: L to R: 3/4 divided (-1/5) x (-1/3): 5/4 =5/4 Convert improper fractions to mixed numbers: 5/4=1/1^/4 Ur answer should be 1^1/4 Either that or your solving it the other way.

Astrid1:

I'm sorry, I was goling to use the equation setting but it keeps refreshing the page everytime I open it, I apologize.

Astrid1:

Would you like for me to provide you the other way as well?

Your fine 🙂

Astrid1:

Well I'm going to just in case: This is the otehr way which has a different answer: 3/4 divided (-1/5-1/5) x - 1/3 PEMDAS again: (-2/5-1/5): -3/5 =3/4 divided (-3/5) x - 1/3 Multiply and divide L to R 3/4 divided (-3/5) x = -1/3.

Thank
