yes it did, but i kept getting an unreasonable number, i got 945 and that did not seem right.
ILikeToEatChildren:
what i did was 47.25 divided by the 5% and i get 945 which could not be right
mhanifa:
Can you find the ratio of the number in the second column by the number in the first column of the table?

Now, what about the number in the last column, how do you find it?
ILikeToEatChildren:
you add the numbers in the first and 2nd column
mhanifa:
Good...
If the number in the first column is 100, what would be the other two?
ILikeToEatChildren:
2nd column is 5 and 3rd is 105
mhanifa:
Now, if the number was x instead of 100, then what would be the other two?

mhanifa:
The number in the 2nd column is 5% of x, how to show this?
ILikeToEatChildren:

mhanifa:
No, the number in the 3rd column is the sum of the previous two numbers.

The answer is 46.4 and .85
mhanifa:
You have 3 examples, two in the table and one with the first number 100.
What number you would multiply the first number to get the 3rd? It is same for all three examples?
