If I shop for a shirt and the price is $16.09 or a hoodie costs $54.99, how do I pay the amount in cash?
I don't know how to count money good and i need someone to help me demonstrate how to count money and pay for things like groceries or items in front of a cash register without looking stupid.
First of all, there's nothing wrong with not knowing something and it certainly does not make you look stupid. Okay, so it depends on how much money you have, I would start with adding up the highest bills and then adding the next smallest number ect. Once you know how much money you have, when you want to buy something, look at the price, if you're planning to buy other items, add their prices together to get the amount of money you're spending. I suggest you pull out the amount of money you're going to use before you get to the register and then give it to the person who is checking you out. Hopefully this helps
Also the added price of those two items would be 72.09 and also I suggest you round up the 99 cents to the next dollar, if something says it's 5.99 it's 6 same applies with anything that's 99 cents.
Always remember that there will usually be tax on items as well, you can look up tax prices straight on your phone from google. You always want a little bit more money than the item you're trying to purchase, just in case. You can also just give the cashier a bit more dollars,(as @noodlearms said, the cost of the two items would be 72.09) just pay with a few 20 dollar bills. (instead of counting out 72 dollars and 9 cent, just try giving them 4 twenty dollar bills which equals to 80 dollars). I hope this helped, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to dm/ping me!
@ilovespaghetti Oh right, I live in Oregon, we don't have taxes here, I totally forgot about them.
Thank ya'll, i just have a slower learning of some things especially money and it's been hard without someone being impatient showing me if i get something wrong.
Ohh, no problem at all, I'm sorry you have that experience, if you ever have any other questions feel free to dm me.
Thank you so much and i will if you are free
