A group of 10 students participated in a quiz competition. Their scores are shown below: 4, 4, 3, 4, 3, 12, 4, 3, 2, 3 Part A: Would a dot plot, a histogram, or a box plot best represent the data shown above if the purpose of the graph is to highlight the frequency of each individual score? Explain your answer. (4 points) Part B: Provide a step-by-step description of how you would create the graph named in Part A. (6 points)

Hi, and welcome to QuestionCove! I think to illustrate the frequency of each score, a histogram (also called a bar graph) would be the best of the choices. A box plot would more be used to visualize the average distribution of all the scores, not the frequency of any particular scores. A dot plot would also not make it easy to see how frequently each score occurred. With a histogram, viewers can tell at a glance how often each score appears, compared to each of the other scores. In order to plot the data on a histogram, we could start by labeling a horizontal axis with each of the scores available: 2, 3, 4, and 12. Then, we would count how many times each of these scores appears. Based on how many times each score appears, we would connect a bar extending vertically from each score, with more height for a greater count
