Currently my GPA is at 2.2, but the University I want to go to does 3.5-4.0--I still have one year after this one to get all of the credit points needed. How many points will I need left class-wise to get to a 3.5?

vDeku666:

How to raise your GPA Avoid classes you don't need. Meet with a tutor. Speak with your instructors. Set goals for yourself. Turn in assignments on time. Join a study group. Study topics as you go. Improve note-taking skills.

The only thing is that my school does things differently--they do it off of your grades, and I can only do 8 classes each year. As for avoiding certain classes, I can't--all classes give me only 1 credit point unless I take a language or unless I do an advanced class (which both cases don't end well for me)--besides that, I have all As, Cs, and one B.

What is your desired GPA?

My desired one is 3.5...currently my GPA is at 2.2. The University I want to go to is Christopher Newport University. 3.5 is the minimum GPA they allow, but their acceptance rate is in the 70s

vDeku666:

Okay.Your desired GPA is 3.5 and your GPA as of now is 2.2. You also say that 3.5 is the minimum required to get accepted, Since its the minimum, it wouldnt hurt to go for something higher, which ofc if you do so, will also raise the chances of you getting accepted If you currently have a 2.2 GPA or C average, these are the future grades you will need to maintain for the remainder of your classes to graduate with a 3.9 A- average. To use this table, find the semester you most recently completed in the first column, that row indicates the GPA you must maintain through graduation to get a 3.9. Note that it becomes harder and harder to change your GPA as you progress through school.

Rylee88:

Well I have a 3.4 so I'm almost there, just try getting really good grades and not taking classes you DON'T need and do more credits.

Rylee88:

But if you're in FL and your plan fails try Palm Beach, they have a 100% acceptance rate c:

vDeku666:

She says she Cannot avoid all classes do to how many classes she has to do each year

I'm a he, but I have to take 8 classes--however, to keep up with my work, I always have to take a special class where I can make my work up--it's either direct study or study hall.

vDeku666:

Oh.sorry about that.but getting a GPA 3.9 A would raise your chance at Newport about 6%

vDeku666:
