Since no one else will lol You are given: \(\large 5x+2y=7 \) \(\large -2x+6y=9 \) To find the value of y, you'll need to get rid of x, so multiply the top by 2, and the bottom by 5: \(\large 2(5x+2y=7) \) \(\large 5(-2x+6y=9) \) You end up with: \(\large 10x +4y=14\) \(\large -10x+30y=45 \) Now you can add the x's, which will be zero and get: \[\large 34y=59 \] Just divide and you get: \[\large y=\frac{59}{34} \] Just plug that into a calculator.
