Become has several verb tenses: became, becomes, becoming So here it can be become, became, or becoming. For the 1st question. Which one do you think works best for it?

strugglinginSchool27:

became??

Shadow:

yes

strugglinginSchool27:

Shadow:

What's odd about the second one, is that it appears to already be in past tense

strugglinginSchool27:

ik right

strugglinginSchool27:

i asked my teacher and she called me stupid

Shadow:

That sounds like a terrible teacher. They are supposed to help you, not insult you.

Don't make excuses for that kind of behavior. She knows better.

For the rest, I would recommend similarly just researching the alternative verb forms for each word then seeing which one fits the sentence. Humans learn speech innately so you can always the words out loud to see which one 'fits.' You can input the word into this website: https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/rode And it will give you the other forms. There are ways to cheat this assignment but I would encourage you not to. As someone who works as an editor and English grader, verb tenses is an issue I see even amongst undergrad and masters students in university.

strugglinginSchool27:

thank you

Shadow:

You're welcome. I'd love to help you step by step but I have to get to some work (:
