I believe that parents should start introducing their children to the internet at an early age, but only under their close guidance and supervision.
The internet provides numerous educational resources and games that can help children learn computer skills and digital literacy from a young age. However, parents must also be aware of the potential dangers that come with unsupervised internet use, including exposure to inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and online predators.
Therefore, it is recommended that parents set clear rules and boundaries around internet use, such as limiting screen time, using parental controls and monitoring software, and discussing safe online behavior with their children. The age at which a child can have unsupervised access to the internet will depend on their maturity level and ability to follow rules.

In my opinion I think that it would be better for them not to even be using the internet at like 10 or 11. Cuz knowing what I knew at that age wasnt helping with me being online talking to people didn't know, I think it would be best to have restrictions and a lot of watching what there on and what there doing.

9 with VERY RESTRICTED access like an app that controls everything n stuff | 12 with a little less restrictions (no apps just yk checking the phone every week to make sure nothing weirds on there) | 14 still safe search but less controlling on the checking part
ShadowKid3:
probably ten for YouTube, google, etc. But for online games like Roblox or Minecraft servers, at least 15-17 both still with Guardian Supervision, 15-17 can be less monitored or not at all monitored. And make sure the child knows internet safety and dangers.
Cocoloco:
I think they should be allowed access to the internet whenever the parent feels is ok and definitely with certain restrictions for younger kids
Coyote:
13 years old or more. There's this thing called C.O.P.P.A. which stands for Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Websites have to make sure the users are 13+ because if they aren't then:
1. Administration must ban the user.
or (pretty much never happens)
2. Adjust the website so it's child friendly
Which is why most websites have you check the 13+ box, so they don't have legal issues.
This is why I think that children not be allowed access until they are 13+, only because of legal matters.
Syrnn:
14 cuz thats when they are genuinely well-matured, when i was a kid on the internet, i got so much trauma im not even kidding with u, i was a little depressy but im good now but just you can deal with a lot of online drama and its not safe for kids especially when they dont know how to reply and are too scared to tell an adult or parent

14. the internet is a bad place and i dont want to give my kid a lot of freedom all at once. it doesnt matter if i can go through their phone, i just dont trust it no matter what. i know a lot of elementary kids have a phone and i find it unhealthy. and i know what youre thinkng, "oh!! what if an emergency!!" then the parent can call the school/teacher. i would give them more privileges as time goes by so i want them to wait until they become a teen
